Understanding Our Spiritual Goal As United Methodists

Our Social Principles
Taking an active stance in society is nothing new for followers of John Wesley. He set the example for us not to separate love of God from love of neighbor, worship and personal holiness from working for holiness in society. Methodists have always been known as a denomination involved with people's lives, including their political and social struggles. Such involvement is an expression of the personal change we experience in our baptism and conversion.
